Retro 1960's style PVC Dust Covers for the VCS3
Custom (hand made by a professional dressmaker) see-through PVC
cover for an EMS SYNTHI VCS3 synthesizer. Fantastic 1960's retro design
( think 'Barbarella' ) complements one of the nicest
looking synths on this or any other planet!
The PVC is crystal clear (though it's a bit hard to show this in the
photos due to reflections), so not only does it keep dust off
your VCS3 (and the matrix in particular which is prone to gather dust
that is not easily cleaned) but you can see your lovely VCS3 through it!
EMS did make vinyl covers for the VCS3 way back.. but not any more to
my knowledge. Original covers were a somewhat drab looking
grey..certainly not see-through.
These covers are professionally made with black fabric stitched seams
('piping') on all exposed edges and fit the VCS3 like a glove all the
way down to the bottom on all sides
with a gap on the rear for easy access to connectors. Thick PVC is used
which minimizes creasing.
A cross-cut hole with stitched edge seam is provided for the joytsick
to poke out of (note my VCS3 in the photo has a short Synthi A style
joystick rather than the standard longer type) .
The cover is designed with enough room between the bottom panel and the
cover to fit even with pins in place in the matrix and/or pin storage
area.
Covers are made to order (though some small stock may be kept)
and custom options like choice of the 'piping' fabric
colour (standard has black) will be available.
